  • Active development
  • Focused on what matters most
  • Easy to use
  • Some good included apps
  • Defined path noticeable
  • Flatpak support
  • Slightly sloppy design
  • Somewhat old-fashioned design
  • Maybe too easy for hobbyists
  • Features not yet on par with proprietary competition
  • Not always understandable payment system in the store
  • Slower, but at least steady development
  • Large updates so far only by reinstallation
  • Limited selection of apps without doing anything
  • Partly many errors (6.1)
Unsere Meinung / What we say

Fast and simple system, apparently based on older macOS versions, with a strong emphasis on simplicity and privacy. Like that.

Even if the path the system has taken seems very unique, it has been proven in recent years that this is constantly being further developed and improved. Functions are added and the system is constantly being improved. Individual system components can also be updated separately, which speeds up delivery.

The last major shortcoming was the often older software in the store, which has now been outsourced and eliminated with the integration of flat packs.

Usability: 65%

Very easy and understandable to use – I think even beginners will get along well with it and the learning curve is quickly mastered and explanations are always included.
